Step 3 - Race Day

Your groups duties

Your group will be responsible for filling these positions:

Host
1 Adult

This adult will be entertaining the racers and audience. He or she can announce who is on deck, who is currently racing, who just won the heat, etc. Their job is to keep the crowd excited and eventually to hand out awards

Starter
1 Adult

This adult will be in charge of:

  • Placing the cars on the track
  • Checking the laser start to make sure its still aligned
  • Checking the screen to make sure we are ready to start the race
  • Looking at computer technician to verify readiness
  • Pull the start lever

Holding Area Crew
1 to 2 Adults

These adults will be in charge of:

  • Watching over cars so they do not get damaged, or modified while waiting to race
  • Getting On Deck cars and handing them to Starter

Finish Line Crew
1 to 2 Adults

These adults will be in charge of:

  • Receiving cars at finish line
  • Delivering cars to Holding Area
